Job Picker/Packer, Canning Vale

Skill Hire are seeking experienced Pick Packers for our client, an Australian leading wholesale distribution and marketing company with a diversified business across food, grocery, hardware and liquor sector.

Located in Canning Vale, these positions are across 4 areas of the warehouse including chiller & freezer.

These are ongoing casual roles with full time hours and the potential of going permanent after 3 months for the right candidates.

You must be available to be rostered from Monday to Friday each week and occasionally Saturdays if required. (Shift times can range between a 4am to a 4pm start time.)

We are looking for people who work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment, have attention to detail, can work long hours on their feet, are able to follow instruction and are self-motivated to work independently.



Requirements:

• Must pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
• Must be reliable.
• Drivers License and reliable transport
• Prior experience working in Warehousing & Logistics
• Availability to work Full Time hours (Monday to Friday)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate well
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Knowledge of the phonetic alphabet
• Physical fitness for repetetive heavy lifting and maneuvering of product
• Fork-lift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and break-down of pallets
• Adhering to safety, quality and production standards
• Picking and packing of orders via voice to pick (experience desirable)
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack (Experience desirable)
• Ability to work up to 10 hour shifts on your feet
• Punctuality - ready to start on time for every shift
